Caltrans, the California State Department of Transportation, has developed an extensive training program for its design staff and resident engineers. In addition to classroom instruction, attendees participate in a one-day field practicum, conducted by GCI's Mike Harding, a certified professional in erosion and sediment control. The purpose of the field day is to allow hands-on experience in the application of standard erosion control, sediment control and re-vegetation practices. |
